Hattie House Park has a sandbox, swings, slide, seesaws, picnic tables, tether ball, little tike basketball net, soccer net and a well-lit basketball court. Hattie House provides footballs, basketballs and soccer balls for sign-out during operating hours. Otherwise, bring your own and enjoy the 24-hour park.
Tutoring in reading is free to children at Hattie House on Saturdays. Interested parents/guardians can contact the Searcy County Library at 870-448-2420 to add their children to the schedule.
The community garden is behind the house, adjacent to the basketball court. It contains a variety of vegetables, and fruit and nut trees.
Slam-dunking toddlers welcome. The full-size basketball court is well-lit, for playing at any hour.
Hattie House is hosting the Summer Food Program, sponsored by the Food Bank of North Central Arkansas. The program runs from June 4-August 13. Participants must sign up with Hattie House. Hours of food provision are: Monday-Friday 1-2:30 and Saturday 11-12:30. Other food is available during Hattie House hours of operation.
