Hattie House Youth Center and Park is located at 200 E. Main St. in Marshall, Arkansas, next to the Jim G. Ferguson Searcy County Library.
Hattie House was named in honor of Hattie Mays Ferguson, wife of library founder Jim G. Ferguson. The house was purchased by the Ferguson Foundation in 2016, for the purpose of serving the youth of our community.
The Hattie House all-age park (open 24 hours) includes swings, slide, seesaw, sandbox, picnic tables, basketball court, tether ball and a soccer net. Hattie House community garden has a variety of vegetables and fruit and nut trees.
Hattie House has an arts and crafts room, air hockey, ping-pong and a Wii game room. Nutritious food is provided. On Saturdays, in the Education room, free literacy tutoring is available for children who are scheduled.
